Mercury is one of the most toxic naturally occurring substances known to humans.
Mercury is toxic because it can invade every single in the body and brain and damage the mitochondria. It interferes with how minerals are used (or not used) in the body. And it disrupts the endocrine system as it is a xenoestrogen (mimics estrogen in the body).
Mercury is a cumulative poison, meaning that it accumulates in the body over time. As it accumulates health can decline and manifest as different symptoms often equated with aging. When the body reaches its maximum accumulation level, the body will become impaired and the minor symptoms will become severe. From what I have learned, sometimes this shows up with aging like with Alzheimer’s, and sometimes this can happen long before, as seen in Autism.

Each person’s toxic breaking point varies:
- We all have a unique set of genes that determine many things, including how quickly or slowly one is able to remove toxins from the body.
- We are all exposed to different toxins at homes, schools, workplaces, and other frequented locations.
In other words, Genes + Toxic Exposure = Individual’s Bio-accumulated Toxic Load.
It took a while to figure out why my body broke down. I was always cold, had chronic illnesses, fatigue and a host of other symptoms. Thankfully I found some resources on-line and took a hair metal and elements test along with a metal fecal test that confirmed that I had a lot of mercury floating around in my body and accumulating in my tissues, organs, and bones.
Once I had identified mercury as the main toxic element in my body, the next important step was identifying where the mercury exposure was coming from. For example: compact fluorescent light bulbs, high fructose corn syrup, dental amalgams, vaccines, birth control pill (aka thimerosal), contact lens solution, and manufacturing pollution in our air, water (seafood), and land.
In my case, the main culprit for the acute mercury flooding into my body at a high rate for an extended period of time happened after placing a gold crown and copper-filled amalgam into my mouth that already housed six additional amalgam fillings.
“Copper fillings emit mercury fifty times faster than conventional amalgams.” Dr. Huggins
This meant I had to have all of the metal dental work removed from my mouth. Drilling the metal out is when the highest amounts of mercury can enter the body. So removing the metals safely is key to accumulating less mercury in the body and brain. And preventing autoimmune diseases or other illnesses.
UPDATE: I later learned that another reason for the increase in mercury in my body from a study published in 2016 on Radio Frequency (RF) which sadly explained that mercury was released from amalgams at a higher rate when one is exposed to RF radiation:

Dental amalgam is composed of approximately 50% elemental mercury. Despite concerns over the toxicity of mercury, amalgam is still the most widely used restorative material. Wi-Fi is a rapidly using local area wireless computer networking technology. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study that evaluates the effect of exposure to Wi-Fi signals on mercury release from amalgam restorations.
The mean (±SD) concentration of mercury in the artificial saliva of the Wi-Fi exposed teeth samples was 0.056 ± .025 mg/L, while it was only 0.026 ± .008 mg/L in the non-exposed control samples. This difference was statistically significant (P =0.009).
Exposure of patients with amalgam restorations to radio frequency radiation emitted from conventional Wi-Fi devices can increase mercury release from amalgam restorations.”
